Fuel leaking after shut off but not after cool down is could be caused by bu a high (or even regular) fuel level draining down until the bowl drain dry. Or the drain plug could be loose. See post about drain plug in earlier post today. After the engine stops with the fuel petcock on normal lack of vacuum from the running engine shuts off the fuel. If the petcock is left in the prime position it will continue to run fuel as that bypasses the vacuum control diaphram. Another clue would be a long crank to start time until the carb bowl fills back up. All the tests should be able to be done curbside. Max
